well once again i've been a bum, but since we all know that already I guess it don't really matter anymore, so let's get on with this thing.
so for reasons out of my control (not really i just like thinking that i haven't been procrastinating as much) i am very sleep deprived right now in the past couple of days i've only been getting an avg 2-maybe 3 hours of sleep a night! But tonight i will try and go to sleep early (let's just hope early doesn't turn into early morning).
as always let me sum up my weekend.
Thursday
didn't do anything, or at least don't remember i did. hmm... oh wait never mind i did go to a UADY party (shit or was it Friday?) never mind i didn't do anythign on thursday cause i needed to catch up on sleep.
Friday
After checking my txt msgs I figured out that i went to the UADY party on Friday!
OK so the peeps left their houses at 6pm which for me is early as fuck to get to a party, unless it's like a... i don;t know but u get me. So me and Hortencia decided to leave a little bit later: 7ish.
No one really knoew how the hell to get to where the party was gonna be at so Hortencia and I fugured we would just call at 7 and hopefully ppl would already be there and then they would telll us how they got there. Well we called at like 7:45 time at which no one was there yet so we only recieved half assed directions. we looked for the famous bus 82 to Garcia Generez and it took us like half an hour to find it and finally get on our way. It seems liek it also took us another half an hour to get to the damn bus stop!!!! anyways after frantically trying to figure out where the damn gasolinerias Gemelas where at we got off and satrted walking on an endless path to nowhere, we ended up in some sketchy little unpaved road in God-knows-where Merida! So we called Nandini, but she didn;t know how to get to the place so I talked to Hector (guy who works at the UADy, who is our age, and that was with Nandini). During orientation i was told that Meridianos didn't knwo shit how to give directions and my good old chum Hector was the clear example of it!!! anyways he went out of the party to go look for us and finally found us, oh yeah i almost forgot: i had also callled Eric to ask for directions btu he also didn't know where the hell he was. But yeah so the first thing HEctor tells me is that all the beer was gone! I'm like wait wtf? how he hell does the beer end at damn 9pm? so me, hortencia, and eric decide to go get some drinks for the party at a near-by store. hmm... The store owner was talking shit about obama, and how he;s gonna paint the white house black and a bunch of ridonculous shit! but yeah that's that. We got to the party and HEctor warned me that evryone would want to try and take my beer, to which i'm like hell nah mothar fucker i'm guarding this shit with my life ( i mean i don;t like beer that much but i had spent money on that shit!) so yeah ppl didi ask me for beer but i said nah, i only gave some to my frineds.
I dance a lot! they were playing rancheras, cumbias, reggeaton, merengue,and everything else you can think of that reminds you of me! Me and Ashley hit the dance floor, and the other peeps too, but m and ashley were just on a roll, some ppl threw ice at me i think cause they were hating on my dance moves or something, i almost got into a fight with my unkown assailant (i din;t see who it was so it was aight). but yeah dance all night till 10:50 when we were told that there was gonna be an after party at the facultad de arquitectura. Oh wait before that some weird guy was trying to dance on me! o at least back up on me. He just went up to me and ashley (i guess cause we were the only ones on the dance floor at that time) and he asked if he could dance with us, to shich i replied sure man go ahead. then he proceeded to try and get me into a sandwich with me as the filling and hima dn ashley as the cookies!!!! shit! i said umm... nah man i'm good to what he then said alright then well let me get in the center then and he started backing up on me! I asked ashley for help and put her in fornt of me! I mean i'm flattered but i just don't roll like that yo, and plus if ur gonna do that u shoud try and be a little bit less sketchy.
so yeah we headed ofer to the after party in downtown Merida (which by the way was deserted) and when we got there we found out that the fucken architecture students weren;t letting in ppl from other facultades! shti talk about campus unity!
so i proposed we go to a near by bar and just chikk there, to what amazingly everyone agreed to! i was hungry so i headed in to the bar and ordered some hot wings! but then someone decided we should go tot a "cooler" bar and chill there, i was like nah you that shit is too far away and i'm about to get me some grub. well there wr lilke three girls begging me to go (cause apparently I had become the pac leader!) so they convinced me (i mean i can;t say no to some lovely ladies = ) ) so we walked for liek 10-15 minutes and we finally got to the other pub. I immediatly ordered a huge ass plate of NACHOS!!!!! well actually me and Ashley ordered them. So we went at it, dayum yo know that i think about it that was a shit load of nachos that went onto my system!! but ashley had her fair share too so it was less of a load on me. we left at around 1:30am. Oh yeah and Hetor was so fucken drunk that he was getting freaking anying ass hell! he was throwing napkins at me, shouting at the cops, starign at hortencia, adn well a bunch of shit that almos tmade me clip the mofoe!
So i got home at 2 am and fell asleep. I had to wake up at 5am to go to Hoy en tu comunidad (community service thing)
Saturday
so it started off very early at 5am, i had only gotten 3 hours of sleep!!! i woke up took a shower,a dn walked to the bus stop at 6am 9 (i have to admit that i was a bit paranoid walking down the damn dark streets so early in the morning, and plus i wasn't wuite sure how the hell i was gonna get there yet! but anyways i got on a bus which then dropped me off like two blocks form where i was suppossed to go. i almost got lost in my two block trayectory! but i got to the place (facultad de medicina) at like 15 till 7, we are suppossed to get there at 7 sharp but it seems no one really gave a shit about punctuality = /
so from my prgram there wr only liek 4 ppl signed up to go on the trip, but there was 8 of us that showed up (with 6 being the max that can go at a single time!) the program director didn;t care and we all got in.
Once there we ate some empanadas, then we were sent odd with thte nthropolgy kids that wr gonna be doing anthropologic research around the town (chemayul or chemayel, i forget what its called). we went ot interview ppl at the church, they told us about there Cristo Negro (yup a Balck Jesus!) and of their fiestas patronales (their like big town celebration-that's connected to a patron saint). then we went around hoses asking them about their hammock making pratices. I got to feel like i was back in the little rural pueblo of La Bolsa, Guerrero where I lived from age 10-16!!! I got to talk to the ppl at the houses about their cattle, the differnt fruit trees they had, and of other practices.
After the long ass walk around town under a scorching 95 degree sun we went to visit some cool Cenotes that wr 9km away but bcause of the shitty conditions of the road took us two hours to get to and back from them!!! but they wr amazing! i wanted to jump in but since my ass don;t know how to swim i would have been screwed! but yeah we got back really late when everyone was presenting on their findings and what they did all day. we ate smoe nasty ass relleno negro, which i have no idea what it was but all i know was that it had some chicken in it. I threw it away cause aparte de que estaba frio (cold) sabia ano muy bueno, por no decir otra cosa. so we head back home ona nother 1.5 houe ride back to merida. on the bus they were playing Beverly Hills Chihuahua, which was a crappy move but which was aight for wasting the time i was on the bus.
I go back home at liek 7pm, so i took a shoer to get ready to head out to Amarantus (another rich ppl club) for Erica's b-day celebration. Me, ashley, and mallory go to the place at like 12 am cuas since it was valentine's day all the damn taxis in Merida wr busy! but yeah i also dance a lot at the club, didn;t drink cause the vodka they gave us (i'm guessing cause of the open bar) tasted liek rubbing alcohol and water! so i just danced and danced!
we got out of the club at 4am! now as of that ime had been 23 hours straight without sleep! abd yet agian being V day there weren;t any damn taxis available, and plus there wr also a shit load of ppl standin outside of the club to get a taxi!
so we got a ride from a guy that goes to the UADY with us adn i got homeat around 5 adn then checked facebook and passd the fuck out! (sorry for all my cussing today but i do fell like it;s appropiate to emphasize the craziness tthat was my weekend.
Sunday
woke up at 2pm. was a dum and then started working on a presentation for the next day for my anthro of caves class. I found out that the presentation isn't actually until tomorrow, but oh well i guess that's done with so i'm good. I stayed up till 4am thought working on the damn thing!

Monday
Stayed up till 2:30 finishing a presentation ( i know it seems liek this shita ain;t ever gonna end huh?) then I saw that Alona had pasted a link to her blog: FMyLife.com, now this shit made me saty up till 4am!!! again!!! i read liek 25 pages of efd up moments int ehlife of other ppl. So if u think u have it bad just check out the stories of these folks and it'll really put things into perspective, ur life ain;t that fucked up! well at least mine isn't (or so I would liek to believe).
random:
i have class everyday monday trhough friday form 3-6om all this week, it;s for my Indigenous author Seminar class, the course is split up into 3 modules and this is the 2nd one with the 2nd professor, who's from Arizona State and will only ne here this week, so that explains the schedule.
I shoud get ot sleeping asap.

Oh yeah and I ralized i really, really liek smart women!! this student went onto our clas to sub for our prof, and she presented her thesis on teh readings we had done: La guagua aerea (and which i also presented on) . Now this girl aint the epitomy of fine, but the way she talked and teh way she presented just had me anonadado (basically stupified). but yeah i was amazed at her intelligence, and well she did have other nice things too if u know what i mean ; )
